A critical term (modeled on "greenwashing") for a firm or product that claims BIM capability or maturity without the underlying processes to back it up. The label usually gets applied to marketing that claims "BIM Level 2" or "full BIM" compliance while the actual delivery is still 2D drawings with a token 3D model, or a firm that owns Revit licenses but never adopted the collaborative CDE, standards, and information-management processes that make BIM actually work.
