Revit's mechanism for asking to borrow an element another team member currently owns in a worksharing session, instead of being blocked from editing it. If a modeler needs to edit an element someone else already owns, Revit sends that person an editing request they can grant or deny - a lightweight negotiation layer that lets a large team work on the same central model simultaneously without constantly locking each other out.
