An engineering analysis method that breaks a structure into many small, simple elements to numerically calculate how it behaves under real loads and forces. A structural engineer takes the analytical model (see Structural Analytical Model) out of Revit into a dedicated FEA tool like Robot Structural Analysis, which subdivides members into a mesh of small elements and solves the physics for each one - the standard method behind every modern load case, deflection, and code-compliance check.
