A Revit schedule that reports the quantities of specific materials (concrete volume, paint area, floor finish area) rather than counting whole elements the way a normal schedule does. Where a door schedule counts doors, a material takeoff can report the total area of a specific paint finish across every room that uses it - directly feeding a bill of quantities without a separate manual measurement pass.
