A simple, widely-supported 3D geometry file format, originally developed by Wavefront Technologies, that stores mesh shapes, texture coordinates, and materials without any BIM-style parametric data. It's one of the oldest and most universally supported 3D formats, which is exactly why it's still used for moving simple mesh geometry into renderers, game engines, or 3D printing workflows where FBX or glTF might carry more than's needed.
