Designing geometry as a set of rules and relationships (parameters) rather than fixed shapes, so changing one value automatically updates everything connected to it. A parametrically designed staircase defined by "total rise divided by riser height" recalculates its step count the moment the floor-to-floor height changes. Grasshopper and Dynamo exist to push this idea further than a single family's own parameters can.
