Designing and managing a built asset to withstand and recover from climate-related and other disruptive events - flooding, extreme heat, power loss - over its working life. It's increasingly modeled alongside embodied and whole-life carbon rather than treated separately - a building designed for net-zero operation still needs a resilience plan for the climate conditions it will actually face over a 60-year life, not just the ones on file today.
