A section is drawn as a line and arrow through a plan or another view, and Revit generates a live view of everything the cutting plane passes through - wall layers, floor build-ups, structural connections - updating automatically as the model changes. Building sections cut through the whole structure; wall sections zoom into one specific construction detail at a much larger scale.
