A record - often at component or connection level - of exactly what was installed or constructed on site, usually captured by the installing team directly from site measurements or scans. As-Made data is typically more granular and immediate than an As-Built model: it is produced discipline-by-discipline as work happens, before it gets consolidated.

The as-made record then feeds into the broader As-Built model - the design team updates the design-intent model with the as-made data (plus any further verification) to produce the single coordinated record of the completed building. In short: As-Made is the raw site truth; As-Built is the coordinated model built from it.
