Embodied energy and embodied carbon usually rise and fall together, but not always - a material can be energy-intensive to produce while using a relatively low-carbon energy source, or vice versa, which is why sustainability assessments increasingly track both rather than assuming one predicts the other. It's typically reported in megajoules per kilogram of material, feeding the same kind of material-quantity data a Revit model already carries for carbon accounting.
