A means of egress is checked as one continuous chain, not element by element - a perfectly rated fire door means nothing if the corridor leading to it is too narrow or the travel distance to reach it is too long. Revit models can tag travel distances and run egress-width checks directly against room and corridor geometry as a design develops.
