PAS 2080 sets out a framework for managing carbon across a project's whole value chain - client, designer, and contractor all sharing responsibility for measuring and reducing it - rather than leaving carbon reduction to any single party. It's become a common client requirement on UK infrastructure and increasingly building projects, sitting alongside the existing Embodied Carbon and Whole Life Carbon metrics as the process standard for actually managing them down.
