A Toposurface was purely geometric - a shape with no material layers or quantity data - while a Toposolid behaves like a proper building element: it can host sub-elements, split into layers (topsoil over subgrade), and feed schedules the way a floor or wall assembly does, closing a long-standing gap between site modeling and building modeling.
