The role that runs the day-to-day, hands-on coordination work on a single project: setting up the federated model, running clash detection, tracking and closing out issues, checking that discipline models are meeting the agreed LOD at each milestone, and keeping the model organized between coordination meetings.

Where the BIM Manager sets the standards and strategy, the BIM Coordinator is the one actually inside the model every day making sure the project follows them - the two roles work closely together, with the coordinator escalating problems the manager needs to solve at a higher level: a contract issue, a persistent process failure, a client pushing back on requirements.
