A delivery method in which owner, designer, and contractor sign a single shared contract, aligning their interests and sharing risk and reward rather than negotiating against each other. Popularized by the AIA in the US, IPD is the delivery-method end state that target value design and co-location both support - the multi-party contract is what actually removes the incentive for any one party to protect its own margin at the project's expense.
