The standard binary format for exchanging LiDAR point cloud data, most commonly used for airborne, mobile, and terrestrial survey scans. Maintained by the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, LAS is the format most site-survey and topographic LiDAR data arrives in before it's brought into a BIM or civil design tool - E57 covers much of the same ground for terrestrial laser scanning specifically.
