The state of a building element exactly as it was manufactured off-site, before installation - critical for prefabricated and modular construction. In DfMA and modular construction, elements are built in a factory to precise tolerances before ever reaching site - "as fabricated" captures that manufactured state, which can then be compared against both the design intent and, later, the as-installed reality to catch discrepancies early, while they're still cheap to fix.
