The umbrella term for the family of documents (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) that define what information a party needs, at what level of detail, and when. Every "information requirements" document answers the same three questions - what, how detailed, and by when - just from a different vantage point: organizational (OIR), asset (AIR), project (PIR), or exchange with a specific supplier (EIR). Understanding the family as a whole makes each individual acronym much easier to place.
